Menu Administration → Data language. To maintain field content multilingually, the administrator must add at least one data language (applies instance-wide).
Assigning languages
The screen shows all valid locales (country-language combinations) on the left and those assigned to the instance on the right. Assigned ones disappear on the left; deselected ones return there.
Order & primary language
- Order: languages higher up are weighted higher (e.g. on the login page).
- Primary language: exactly one language must be primary. Its content lives in the main records and serves as base values when no other language is requested.

If a new primary language is set on an already internationalized instance, its content is copied into the main records and the old primary language's values are overwritten (kept only in the language tables unless the language is removed there). |
