Why Jaspersoft Studio?
Nuclos generates forms and reports via JasperReports. The report engine is given an XML blueprint (.jrxml). While this could be written with any text editor, Jaspersoft Studio is far more convenient:
- graphical editing of JRXML files,
- connecting your own databases to test with real data,
- compilation & preview,
- custom font extensions.

From version 4.50 Nuclos uses the Jaspersoft library 6.17.0; the guides were created with Jaspersoft Studio 6.17.0. Higher versions usually work because reports can be exported for older library versions. |
