Install Jaspersoft Studio 6.17.0 on Windows and Linux.

Download

The Jaspersoft Studio Community Edition is available on the Jaspersoft website (matching the Nuclos library, recommended: 6.17.0).

Windows

Download the Windows setup (.exe), run it and follow the installer steps.

Linux

Extract the archive into the target directory:

tar xfvz ~/<download>/TIB_js-studiocomm_6.17.0_linux_x86_64.tgz -C /home/<target>

Start via the Jaspersoft Studio file in the extracted folder. On first start a hidden .ireport folder with version-specific configurations is created in your home. Create a menu launcher via a jaspersoftstudio.desktop file in /usr/share/applications:

If the direct launch causes problems on Linux, the bundled runjss.sh in the studio directory helps (see linux.readme).
