The generic detail view: layout, type-specific inputs, reference fields, status changes and local hide/show of fields.

On this page

The detail view renders the server-computed layout generically: the desktop grid is re-flowed into a single-column mobile form. Unknown components are skipped so the screen never breaks.

Edit fields

Reference fields (LOV)

Reference and combobox fields open a mobile picker with a server-side quick search (mirroring the Web Client's quick search).

Status change

Below the record title the app shows the workflow status. Use the action menu to run the configured next states.

Hide and show fields

By long-pressing a field you can hide it or bring it back. This adjustment is stored on the device only and applies wherever the field appears (detail, subform card, subform record).

Saving & server actions

On save – and after rule execution, status change, generation or print – the server may return follow-up actions that the app runs like the Web Client: show a message, navigate to a record or a (filtered) list, open an external URL or end the session (forced logout/login).

Unsaved changes

If you leave a record with unsaved changes, the app asks: keep editing, save or discard – so input is never lost by accident. This also applies to subform editors.

Subforms appear as their own cards – see Subforms.
