Run custom rules from task lists (from 4.21) – in dynamic and search-filter-based lists, with multi-selection.

From Nuclos 4.21 custom rules can be executed directly from task lists – both from dynamic and search-filter-based lists. Multiple records are processed in one transaction (if one fails, all fail).

In dynamic task lists

  1. Add two columns to the SQL data source of the dynamic task list: the ID/primary key (e.g. CROID) and the UID of the business object (e.g. CREUID).
  2. In the task list configuration (Administration → Task lists) enter them under ID attribute for custom rules and UID attribute for the custom rule BO – only then are custom rules offered at all.

The rule context holds the record referenced by CROID/CREUID. In the task list (File → Task lists) the rules can be run from the context menu. For multi-selection all CREUID must point to the same business object.

In search-filter-based task lists

In the search filter configuration (Administration → Search filters) tick offer custom rules. Then, in the task list opened from the filter, all custom rules assigned to the business object are available.

After execution custom rules automatically perform an update – can be disabled with context.setUpdateAfterExecution(false).
