Entering internationalized content

Enter multilingual field content – globe icon, entry mask, primary vs. data language and fallback.

Once an attribute is marked multilingual in the BO wizard, no further layout settings are needed – the component adapts automatically and gets a globe icon.

Globe states

Colored globe: translations are still missing.
Gray globe: all values have been entered explicitly.

Entry mask

Clicking the globe icon (on the field or in the toolbar for all multilingual fields) opens the entry mask with all languages configured in the administration:

The primary language is bold in the first column.
The data language chosen at login is italic.
Explicitly entered values are black; missing translations are shown red with the primary language value.

For mandatory attributes the primary language is required; other languages are optional (Nuclos falls back to the primary language). The translated value also appears in the list view, sorting and search.

Subforms

Subforms with multilingual fields are also entered via the globe icon.
