What is the matrix component?

The matrix displays data in value columns between row and header columns (cross table).

Configuration

The matrix requires four business objects. In the minimal configuration the attributes are defined in the layout editor – the category attribute is not mandatory.

Web client only

These options are currently evaluated only by the web client:

Restrict columns via VLP (matrix X-axis VLP id, field name, reference parameter name).
Column/row labels as an HTML expression with uid{…}; from 4.46.0 several uid{…} in „matrix row label“ create several header columns.
Sorting by several comma-separated fields with :asc/:desc.
Hide rows (from 4.2022.23) via a boolean attribute of the Y entity; hide columns (from 4.2023.20) analogously – columns only when the associated data is empty.
