What is the multi-selection combobox?
The multi-selection combobox maps a 1:N relationship between the main record and several referencing side records – single-line, since only one attribute is relevant for display (unlike a subform).
Requirements for the BO
- a reference field to the layout BO,
- a reference field to a suggestion BO,
- no further mandatory fields (otherwise no entries can be created).
Configuration
The component is in the palette category data components. It is unlabelled – add a caption via a static label if needed. Choose a qualified entity under Business object; foreign key and display reference are set automatically when configured correctly.

- Create BO
Tags with attribute name. - Create BO
ArticleTags with two reference fields (to Article and Tag). - Select
ArticleTags in the layout editor – the fields are determined automatically.
