What are layout rules?
With layout rules you control events directly on the mask – without a server-side rule. Open the rule editor via a component's context menu → edit rules. The triggering component is shown at the top left.
Events
| Event | Trigger |
|---|
| When the value changes | as soon as the field is edited. |
| Look up value | when a value is searched, e.g. via the List of Values. |
Actions
| Action | Effect |
|---|
| Refresh value list | refreshes the value list provider assigned to the component. |
| Reset field | clears a field; for a subform column, the subform BO must be given. |
| Transfer looked-up value | on „look up value“ transfers an additional value into another field (e.g. the phone number of the selected person). |
